+ | This is a list of universities, colleges (especially women's colleges), and related institutions that are specifically relevant to the cause of college or university women in computer science or technology. This list is meant to be especially useful for regular outreach, e.g., for summer internship programs such as Google Summer of Code. It was used to spread the word about Google Sumer of Code 2012 and we are using it again to spread the word about Google Summer of Code and FOSS Outreach Program for Women internships 2013. |
− | + | You can start with this [https://live.gnome.org/OutreachProgramForWomen/2013/JuneSeptember/SpreadTheWord#Text_for_an_E-mail_with_Information_about_the_Programs prepared e-mail] and modify it as you see fit to reach women groups and CS departaments. If you can find contact information for one listed university and/or a university you went to, send them the e-mail, and update the wiki page, it would be a huge help! |

Right now these lists are very North America-centric because that's what I am personally concentrating on as I get the word out about GSoC to increase the number of women who apply for summer 2012. Feel free to change, divide up geographically, add, etc. And please remove colleges that have NO science/technology/engineering/mathematics curriculum. Revision as of 19:39, 5 April 2013
This is a list of universities, colleges (especially women's colleges), and related institutions that are specifically relevant to the cause of college or university women in computer science or technology.
You can start with this prepared e-mail and modify it as you see fit to reach women groups and CS departaments. If you can find contact information for one listed university and/or a university you went to, send them the e-mail, and update the wiki page, it would be a huge help!
