Hacker culture is the term used for intersecting communities of people who are interested in creative uses of technology and/or circumventing computer security.

Hacker conferences include:

ShmooCon
ToorCon
Hackers on Planet Earth
Kiwicon

There are also Hacker spaces which are workshops where hackers come together to build stuff. Some hacker spaces have events for women, while others are exclusively for women.
